Collective Impact Working Group Events Calendar

Collective Impact Fall 2024 Update

On September 13, 2024, more than 70 members and co-chairs of the Collective Impact working groups met at the inaugural All-Hands Collective Impact Convening to update one another on their progress and to foster further collaboration. 

Every group had something impressive to report about how partnering with like-minded colleagues around the university had let them achieve some joint goals: 

  • Affordable Learning and Financial Support: Conducted a food security data review and launched a CalFresh Strategic Communication Plan 
  • Experiential Learning: Drafted a common Experiential Learning definition, launched a campuswide survey and published a working group events calendar 
  • Inclusive Instruction: Workgroup re-paneled to include significant faculty participation, Drafted a definition of inclusive instruction and a faculty survey 
  • Mentoring, Coaching and Advising: Introduced a pilot peer-mentoring training initiative, set to roll out to the broader campus community during the upcoming spring quarter 
  • Sense of Belonging: Have identified populations with the greatest need and drafted a Sense of Belonging Common Definition and Assessment Toolkit 

Collective Impact Spring 2023 Update

The 2023 Collective Impact Spring Update was held on May 18th, 2023. The zoom event featured

  • Remarks from Executive Vice Chancellor Elizabeth H. Simmons;
  • A presentation on People Proposition, Human Resource by Anne Curtis, Senior Director of Organization Effectiveness;
  • Two breakout sessions:
    • "How Do Working Groups Work?" facilitated by the Collective Impact Backbone team;
    • "The Origins of Collective Impact", facilitated by Frank Silva, Associa Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and Georgia Kovacs, Associated Director of Research Affairs, Division of Extended Studies.

Future of Academic Affairs Forum 2023

The 2023 Future of Academic Affairs Forum was held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023. The hybrid event featured remarks from Executive Vice Chancellor Elizabeth H. Simmons and a panel conversation hosted by Alison Sanders, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
