Skipping and stretching meals, or having trouble affording or accessing food? You may be eligible for CalFresh, California’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Most students receive an average of $265 a month on a debit card to buy food, and benefits are accepted at many places on campus. Students can apply on the UC San Diego student CalFresh application website. Recertify every six months to continue receiving benefits.
